Registration Terms and Conditions

Please review the following Terms and Conditions carefully, as they govern your participation in the hackathon and outline the rights, responsibilities, and expectations for all participants.

1. Personal Data Collection and Use
   1. Cloudbyz collects personal data, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and organization, for hackathon registration, communication, and event management.
   2. Your personal data will be processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws of India, and used solely for the purposes for which it was collected.
   3. By registering for the hackathon, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data by Cloudbyz.
2. Data Protection and Rights
   1. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Cloudbyz.
   2. Cloudbyz implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
   3. Your data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
   4. You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to its processing.
3. Marketing Communications
   1. By registering for the hackathon, you agree to receive communications from Cloudbyz related to the hackathon and similar future events. You may opt out of these communications at any time.
4. Eligibility and Registration
   1. Participants must be at least 18 years old and register individually.
   2. Cloudbyz will assign participants to teams based on their qualifications and skill sets, with final team compositions communicated to each participant. 
   3. All team formation decisions by Cloudbyz are final, and no requests for changes will be considered. 
   4. Cloudbyz reserves the right to verify participant eligibility and disqualify any participant who does not comply with these terms or engages in unfair practices.
5. Participation and Conduct
   1. Participants agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
   2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification and removal from the hackathon.
6. Intellectual Property and Ownership
   1. All code, prototypes, and ideas developed during the hackathon (collectively, “Submissions”) must be original and created solely for the purpose of this hackathon. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their work does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
   2. Ownership of Intellectual Property (IP) created during the hackathon will remain with Cloudbyz.
   3. Participants agree not to use or exploit Cloudbyz IP created in any manner that may compete with or harm Cloudbyz's reputation or interests.
7. Prizes and Payment Terms
   1. Prizes will be awarded as specified on the hackathon website. All prizes are subject to applicable taxes and deductions, which will be the winners' responsibility.
   2. Prizes will be disbursed within 60 days of the announcement, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and guidelines.
   3. Any disputes regarding prize distribution will be resolved at Cloudbyz's sole discretion.
8. Judging and Disqualification
   1. Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts based on criteria such as creativity, feasibility, impact, and technical execution.
   2. Cloudbyz reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to have engaged in plagiarism, unethical conduct, or any activity that violates these terms or compromises the hackathon's fairness.
9. Confidentiality
   1. Participants agree to keep all proprietary information shared during the hackathon, including but not limited to technical specifications, confidential and shall not disclose it to any third party without prior written consent from Cloudbyz.
10. Liability and Indemnity
    1. Cloudbyz is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising from participation in the hackathon.
    2. Participants agree to indemnify and hold Cloudbyz harmless from any claims, losses, or damages, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of their participation in the hackathon or their breach of these terms.
11. Modification of Terms and Event Cancellation
    1. Cloudbyz reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the hackathon or these terms at any time, with prior notification to registered participants via email or the hackathon website.
    2. In the event of hackathon cancellation, Cloudbyz shall not be liable for any costs incurred by participants.
12. Governing Law
    1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
